Naxxar links Malta's centre to the north coast: Triq il-Labour and the 21st September Avenue junction with Mosta carry the commuter flow, while Triq is-Salini drops to the Coast Road at Salina. School-run season turns the Naxxar–Mosta stretch into one of the island's slowest kilometres.

Parking
Naxxar centre has short regulated stretches near the square but side streets are unmarked and workable outside festa nights. For Palazzo Parisio visits, the streets behind the church are the usual spot.

Public transport alternatives
Routes 31/37/45 connect Naxxar to Valletta and the north; the 225 crosses to Sliema. The bus corridor is the same road cars queue on, so timetables slip badly during school-run hours.

Frequently asked
School mornings 07:15–08:30 are the peak of the peak — the corridor serves several large schools. Outside term time it flows freely except for the 17:00–18:30 commute.
Down Triq is-Salini to the Coast Road, then in via Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq — usually quicker and prettier than the inland Birkirkara route. If the Coast Road shows red on the map, fall back to the Regional Road via Mosta.
Yes — the Vitorja festa peaks on 8 September with the square and main streets closed on feast evenings. It coincides with the first week of school, historically one of the worst traffic weeks of the year in this corridor.
