Gozo Channel ferry camera — Ċirkewwa queue

This is the single most useful camera on the island if you are heading to Gozo. It looks over the car marshalling area at the Ċirkewwa terminal, so what you are really reading is the ferry queue: an empty tarmac means you will drive straight onto the next crossing, while lines of cars several lanes deep mean at least one boat's worth of waiting — often two or three on summer Sunday afternoons.

Check it before you commit to the drive north, not when you arrive. If the queue looks heavy and you do not need the car on Gozo, the fast passenger ferry from Valletta is the standard fallback. The Santa Marija week in mid-August is the extreme case: the queue can back up onto the approach road itself.
